The Panjshir provincial media office said 1,600 people in the province will receive 6,500 Afghanis per month for six months in exchange for working on development projects, while 1,200 families will receive food supplies for three months.
The assistance is being provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) in cooperation with relevant Emirate institutions, according to the statement.
Under the program, the 1,600 beneficiaries will work on development projects in return for the monthly cash payments, while food assistance will be distributed to 1,200 families for three months.
