The Standards and Quality Authority has stated in a press release that it prevented a shipment of 69 tons of substandard cement from entering the country through Hairatan Port and returned the shipment to the exporting country.
According to the authority, the shipment was found to be non-compliant with domestic standards and requirements following technical inspections and necessary tests conducted by professional staff of the Standards and Quality Authority.
The authority says that the quality-control process for imported goods is ongoing at all ports, and the entry of substandard products that pose a threat to public health, safety, and interests is being prevented.
