The Russian President’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, met with the country’s Foreign Minister during his visit to Kabul.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that both sides held comprehensive discussions on expanding political relations and economic cooperation during the meeting.

The Foreign Minister welcomed the development of relations between Kabul and Russia in his remarks.

He also stressed the activation of the joint economic commission between Afghanistan and Russia, as well as the establishment of a regular framework for political consultations.

Meanwhile, Zamir Kabulov praised the positive trajectory of relations between Afghanistan and Russia and added that his country is ready to give practical shape to economic cooperation with Afghanistan.

He said that Russia aims to further strengthen bilateral relations through joint economic projects, investment, and infrastructure cooperation, while also promoting regional stability and economic connectivity.
