The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan said in a statement that, Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister l, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, and Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev held a telephone conversation on the development of political and economic relations between the two countries, trade, investment, and joint projects.
The statement added that the discussions also covered the implementation of existing understandings, the establishment of new areas of cooperation, the exchange of high-level delegations, and regular political engagement.
Muttaqi stressed that the Afghan side is ready to provide comprehensive cooperation to facilitate the implementation of joint projects and expand economic and trade relations.
The Foreign Minister described Kyrgyzstan’s election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council as an important achievement and emphasized the importance of joint cooperation and mutual support between the two countries.
