The Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, on Thursday morning closely inspected the ongoing construction of the second lane of Kabul-Jalalabad highway.
According to the Deputy Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, the Prime Minister commended the leadership of the Ministry of Public Works, as well as the officials and workers of the private companies involved in the project. He also provided the necessary instructions to ensure the road is completed on time and to a high standard of quality.
He stated that once the project is completed, it will significantly improve transportation facilities, transit, public mobility, and contribute to the economic development and prosperity of the surrounding areas.
It is worth noting that the second lane of Kabul-Jalalabad highway is one of the country’s major transit and economic infrastructure projects, with construction currently underway across three sections.
