The General Director of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, Mawlawi Abdul Wasi Khadem, held a video conference with Yun Seok-hoon, chairman of the Asian Economic Growth Committee, and members of the committee to discuss investment, economic development and humanitarian assistance, the Arg said in a statement.
The statement said Yun Seok-hoon expressed the committee’s readiness to cooperate with Afghanistan on economic development and invest in the country’s solar energy sector.
Mawlawi Abdul Wasi said Afghanistan seeks constructive relations with countries and international organizations based on its principles and traditions. He said the government has created the necessary conditions for domestic and foreign investors and invited the committee chairman to visit Afghanistan.
Yun Seok-hoon said that after visiting Afghanistan and gaining a firsthand understanding of the country, the committee would consider investing in solar energy and encourage other countries to invest in Afghanistan. He also called for continued humanitarian assistance to the country.
The statement said Mawlawi Abdul Wasi thanked Yun Seok-hoon for his positive view of Afghanistan and his interest in cooperating with the Afghan people.
