Al Arabiya reported that 21 people have been killed in a clash between local residents and armed bandits in a village in Zamfara State in northwestern Nigeria.
According to the report, Zamfara is one of the Nigerian states where criminal armed groups frequently attack rural areas for robbery.
It has been stated that these criminal groups have recently also established ties with militants in northeastern Nigeria.
