Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund said during the inauguration ceremony for the construction of the second major cement production plant at Jabal al-Seraj that the project is not merely the construction of a factory, but a significant step toward Afghanistan’s industrial development, economic self-reliance, strengthening domestic production, and ensuring future prosperity.
Mullah Baradar added that Afghanistan possesses vast potential for industrial development due to its abundant natural resources, skilled human capital, and strategic geographic location, and that the Islamic Emirate has given special attention to this sector.
He emphasized that the implementation of such projects will play an important role in promoting the country’s economic growth, increasing production, and achieving greater self-sufficiency.
