The Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA) announced that its Director General, Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, met with Ioannis Brouwer, Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Afghanistan, in Kabul to discuss disaster management, emergency response, and stronger humanitarian cooperation.
According to ANDMA, the two sides discussed sharing information during emergencies, providing assistance to landmine victims, strengthening search and rescue teams, building staff capacity, and expanding joint humanitarian programs.
The statement added that Brouwer reaffirmed the ICRC’s continued support for humanitarian programs, technical cooperation, and capacity-building efforts.
