According to a statement from the Office of the Economic Deputy, the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission, during its regular meeting, approved the Environmental Protection Authority’s Laboratory Services Management Plan following a comprehensive review.

The statement added that, under the plan, a fully equipped and standardized central laboratory will be established to conduct air, water, soil, and noise quality testing. The laboratory will also provide its services to government institutions, the private sector, international organizations, and universities.

The meeting also included discussions on the Standard and Quality Authority’s internal standards and measures to increase the export of Afghan carpets.
