Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health says the second four-day Abu Ali Sina National and International Exhibition was officially inaugurated today (Tuesday) in Kabul.

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar described the exhibition as important for the pharmaceutical sector and said the ban on medicines imported from Pakistan helped Afghanistan’s medical sector grow rapidly within a short period.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs said during the opening ceremony that significant progress has been made in the health sector since the current Afghan government came to power.

He added that the Islamic Emirate supports domestic production and urged people to use locally manufactured products.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, dozens of pharmaceutical manufacturing companies are displaying their medicines and health products at the exhibition for four days.
