Indian media outlets report that New Delhi and Moscow have finalized a procurement agreement for advanced air-to-air missiles.

According to the reports, the deal is valued at nearly $1.2 billion, under which India is set to receive around 300 R-37M missiles.

The missiles are designed for long-range engagements and are considered significant assets in modern aerial warfare.

Sources further note that, under the agreement, the Indian Air Force is expected to receive the first batch of the missiles in about one and a half years.
