Land from seven townships has been officially handed over to the Kabul Municipality for the implementation of development plans in the capital.
The transfer comes under a decree issued by the leadership of the Afghan government, aimed at supporting the execution of urban development projects in Kabul.
Sheikh Noorulhaq Anwar, Director General of the Administrative Office, said the land parcels were approved for transfer following technical and procedural evaluations carried out by representatives of relevant ministries, the Kabul Governor’s Office, the Kabul Municipality, and the Department of Lands.
The transfer agreement was formally signed between the Administrative Office and the Kabul Municipality in accordance with the law on the sale and distribution of state-owned land.
Under the agreement, the transferred land will be registered as the exclusive property of the Kabul Municipality and used for the implementation of urban planning projects in the relevant districts.
The Kabul Municipality stated that the handover of reclaimed land previously under illegal occupation will facilitate more effective implementation of development plans and support the expansion of urban infrastructure in the city.
