According to Tasnim News Agency, Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu on Tuesday approved a law passed by the country’s parliament, barring entry to Israeli passport holders.

A statement from the President’s Office said the decision was made in response to the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza and as an expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The Maldives, a small Islamic country known for its scenic beauty, attracts a large number of foreign tourists. Official figures show that nearly 11,000 Israelis visited the country last year.
