The Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met in Kabul with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, Faisal bin Talq Al-Buqami.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that during the meeting, discussions were held on regional developments and the negotiations that took place in the Chinese city of Urumqi between the Pakistani regime and the Afghan government.

Mr. Muttaqi described relations between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia as positive and expressed hope that ties between the two countries would further expand in political, security, and economic fields.

Meanwhile, the Saudi ambassador in Kabul said that his country attaches importance to political and security stability as well as economic development in Afghanistan and supports Afghanistan in these areas.
