The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice and Hearing of Complaints says that, based on the leadership’s directive, 5,781 mentally ill individuals were gathered over the past three months.
According to the ministry, these individuals were collected from across the country and handed over to the Afghan Red Crescent Society for treatment.
The ministry’s spokesperson stated that efforts are being made to provide appropriate medical services to these patients using the available resources.
