The Embassy of Qatar in Kabul says it hosted a meeting between officials from UNAMA and Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss strengthening Afghanistan’s engagement with the international community.

According to the embassy, the meeting was attended by the Qatari ambassador to Afghanistan, the acting head of UNAMA, UNAMA’s political chief, the Second Political Director of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the head of the Center for Strategic Studies.

The embassy said the participants discussed the future of Afghanistan’s relations with the international community and ways to further strengthen the ties.
