Officials at Torghundi Port in Herat have announced the start of a project to build a perimeter wall around the port and nearby residential compounds.
According to officials, the wall will stretch 3,100 meters and stand 3 meters high. The project also includes the installation of 12 gates and the construction of 10 block towers to serve as guard posts.
The project is expected to cost more than 26 million Afghanis and is being carried out under the supervision of the Herat Directorate of Urban Development.
