International media have reported that the war involving Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz have pushed the entire South Asian region into crisis.

According to the report, due to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka are currently facing rising energy and fuel prices.

The report also cites analysts who say that the energy systems of South Asian countries are closely tied to oil from the Gulf region, and whenever tensions arise around the Strait of Hormuz, the economic impacts affect the lives of hundreds of millions of people in these countries.
