Reuters has reported that the presidents of Russia and Ukraine have announced a two-day ceasefire ahead of Russia’s “Victory Day” celebrations.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the ceasefire will be in effect on May 8 and 9, and has also called on Ukraine to take a similar step.
He warned that if Ukraine violates the ceasefire, a large-scale missile attack will be carried out on the capital, Kyiv.
On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that his country will implement its own ceasefire from May 5 to 6.
