According to Sputnik, Russian researchers have developed a new artificial intelligence (AI) system that can predict and help prevent the spread of dangerous and potentially deadly infectious diseases.
The report noted that the system combines weather data with medical information to identify conditions that could lead to disease outbreaks and provides early warnings before they can take place.
Sputnik further noted that this AI model was developed by Angolan researcher Joaquim Timóteo at the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics.
The report added that the system was trained using malaria data and can assess the risk of infectious disease outbreaks by analyzing weather patterns alongside medical data. It is designed to issue early warnings that enable timely preventive action.
According to the report, the new technology is expected to help public health authorities better manage disease outbreaks, respond more quickly to emerging health threats, and reduce the spread of dangerous infectious diseases.
