The spokesperson for the Panjshir provincial office, Saifuddin Laton, told Voice of Hindukush that gold mines have been estimated in an approximately 30-kilometer area in the “Tal” locality of Paryan district in the province.

According to Mr. Laton, the Governor of Panjshir, Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim, stated that the extraction of these mines should be carried out in a standardized, legal, and phased manner under the guidance and full coordination of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.

The Governor of Panjshir also praised the efforts of the province’s Department of Mines and petroleum and emphasized that all activities related to the gold mines must proceed under the full guidance and coordination of the relevant ministry.
