The recent clashes and defeats of the so-called Freedom Front, in collaboration with the Pakistani military regime, in Nuristan, have confirmed the analyzes that this group is a proxy, its program is a failure, and it is a host of deep divisions. Yasin Zia manages the war through such mechanical colonels and officers who have never had any tangible achievements on the battlefield and have always relied on retreat.
Nuristan is a province covered in natural forests, with valleys and complex routes. However, the inexperienced, unaware, and deceived young commanders of the Power Bank Front were sent to this region for war, guided by the ISI. But when their commanders realized that the battlefield was tough and they would inevitably be defeated, they immediately fled the area and sought refuge in military regime camps.
The so-called Freedom Front’s defeat also showcased the incompetence within the group. Fazal Rabbi Khenjani and Safiullah Mohammadi, who are responsible for the Power Bank Front in Chitral, inflicted a humiliating defeat on their group; the defeat was so disgraceful that the group denied it and claimed that the captured individuals did not belong to them.
These are the major reasons for the weakness and failure of the Afghan government’s opposing factions, especially the Power Bank Front, whose programs, friendships, enmities, future, and everything else are determined by others. They themselves have neither the capacity to do anything nor does anyone allow them to back down from fighting on behalf of foreign powers; they have been sold out, such that they will never be free from the favors of foreigners for eternity. These groups have no legitimacy whatsoever, which is why they have submitted to the proxy of the eternal enemy in hopes of gaining power.
On the other hand, a series of intense disagreements arose within the so-called Freedom Front. However, when the Pakistani military regime’s intelligence intervened and directly resolved their differences temporarily, it confirmed that the group was not independent in its decisions, alliances, enmities, and activities. Instead, they would now obey the ISI like proxy soldiers, and Yasin Zia was merely a symbolic leader of the group.
