The United Nations Women’s agency, in its latest report, stated that since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip, more than 38,000 women and girls have been martyred, while over 11,000 others have been left with permanent disabilities.

The United Nations has warned that the actual number of victims may be even higher, as many bodies remain trapped beneath the rubble, while the absence of reliable registration systems has made it difficult to verify the precise number of those martyred and injured.

According to the report, the war in Gaza has not only caused extensive destruction but has also pushed the territory’s healthcare system to the brink of total collapse.

Hospitals are currently operating under extremely difficult conditions and, despite a severe shortage of medical supplies, are overwhelmed by the large influx of injured and sick patients. This situation has pushed medical services to their lowest level.

Meanwhile, Nikolay Mladenov, head of the Gaza Peace Council, called the situation in Gaza alarming, noting that restrictions imposed by the Zionist regime on essential supplies, combined with a shortage of transport vehicles, have significantly hampered the delivery of humanitarian aid.
