The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has stated that since last December, around 280,000 people have been displaced due to fighting in Sudan’s Jonglei State.
The United Nations has warned that the humanitarian situation is further deteriorating, noting that insecurity has limited the delivery of aid to affected areas.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has reported that more than 450,000 children in Sudan are facing a serious risk of severe malnutrition.
