Afghanistan’s Ambassador to China, Mawlawi Bilal Karimi, met with Liu Jinsong, Director-General of the Asian Affairs Department of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Yu Xiaoyong, China’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan.

The Afghan Embassy in China said that the meeting discussed political, economic, and trade relations between the two countries, the activation of the Wakhan Corridor, consular affairs, and other related issues.

The Chinese side reaffirmed respect for Afghanistan’s independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty, and emphasized the continuation of cooperation.

Meanwhile, Mr. Karimi praised Beijing’s positive stance toward Kabul and described cooperation between the two countries as essential.
