Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mawlawi Sadr-Azam Usmani, said that although commercial routes with Pakistan remain closed, the government is actively pursuing measures to expand international market access for Afghan agricultural products.

He noted that exports to India, Iran, and Uzbekistan are moving forward without interruption, and Afghan goods continue reaching these markets as normal.

Usmani added that Afghan products have reached higher quality standards than in previous years and noted that efforts to expand market access across multiple sectors are steadily moving forward.

Meanwhile, reports from Pakistan indicate that the ongoing closure of transit routes is resulting in daily losses of up to four million dollars for Pakistani traders.
