The country’s Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, during which they discussed current developments and bilateral relations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Abdul Qahar Balkhi, said that Mr. Muttaqi described regional security and stability as being in the interest of all and emphasized that the parties involved should choose the path of diplomacy to resolve issues.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister praised the stance of the Afghan government and media, stating that relations between Kabul and Tehran are progressing in various fields.

He also described the exchange of delegations between Kabul and Tehran as a positive step and commended the growing cooperation between the two countries.
