The spokesperson for the Afghan government, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, shared a message on his X (formerly Twitter) account expressing condolences and sympathy to the Government of Qatar, the family of the late former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the people of Qatar following his passing.
In a statement, the Afghan government said it received the news of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani’s death with deep sorrow and extended its heartfelt condolences to the Government of Qatar, the Al Thani family, and the entire Qatari nation.
According to the statement, the Afghan government prayed that Allah Almighty grant the deceased the highest place in Paradise (Jannat al-Firdaws) and bestow patience and abundant reward upon his family and relatives.
It is worth noting that Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani passed away this morning at the age of 74.
