Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the fourth meeting of the Afghanistan–India Joint Foreign Ministry Committee was held in New Delhi to strengthen political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zia Ahmad Takal, delegations were led by Shaib Barialai, Director General of the First Political Directorate at Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Anand Prakash, Head of the Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran Division at India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations, political engagement, economic cooperation, visa issuance, trade barriers, and measures to expand exports and imports.
Both delegations reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening trade and economic ties, stressing the need for continued cooperation and practical efforts to address existing challenges affecting bilateral commerce.
