The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment announced that the inaugural meeting of the Afghanistan-Uzbekistan Trade Council took place in Tashkent, with the participation of the heads and members of both countries’ chambers of commerce.
According to sources, the council’s framework agreement was officially signed during the meeting by the heads of both chambers.
Officials called the council an important move to strengthen economic cooperation and address trade challenges.
The Uzbek delegation expressed optimism that bilateral trade could grow from $1.68 billion to $5 billion in the coming years, while also introducing additional measures to facilitate business activities.
