The military wing of Al-Qaeda’s Islamic Movement, Harakat al-Shabab al-Mujahideen, carried out an attack on government militias in Somalia’s Shabelle region, resulting in the death of 18 militias and leaving 28 others injured.

It is important to note that Harakat al-Shabab al-Mujahideen forces had also conducted a car bomb and coordinated attack on a hotel in Beledweyne, Hiraan province, where government meetings were taking place. The attack caused casualties among several soldiers, as well as high-ranking government officials.
