The Al-Qaeda-linked Islamic movement has announced that its military wing, Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimin (JNIM), carried out nine separate attacks on the military and militias in Burkina Faso, resulting in the deaths of 15 soldiers and injuries to several others.

According to the group, its forces seized three PK machine guns, an RPG, 22 Kalashnikov rifles, eight motorcycles, and various other military equipment during the attacks.
