For some time now, relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have deteriorated, especially after Pakistan’s invasion of Afghan territory and the Afghans’ fiery retaliation against Pakistan. Amid these events, however, the fugitive opponents of the new Afghan government and politicians from the collapsed republican regime sided with the Pakistani regime, applauding and chanting “Long live Pakistan” for the desecration of their land and the shedding of their compatriots’ blood by Pakistan.

Such a treacherous approach from these individuals was not unexpected, as each of these despised figures did not hesitate to use every means at their disposal to cooperate with foreigners during the American occupation of Afghanistan. They sold their land and nation for a pittance in order to gain power and maintain their positions.

Some time ago, these same individuals, during a meeting with Pakistan’s ISI, recognized the Durand Line and pre-sold Afghan soil to gain concessions from Pakistan and the subservience of its intelligence apparatus.

In the early days of the republic’s collapse, although they expected many countries to accept them into slavery and use them for their intelligence projects, the incompetence and widespread corruption of these individuals led to fewer countries viewing them as an efficient pawn.

Now that Tajikistan’s relations with Afghanistan are also improving, and this window will soon be closed to opponents of the new government, the only remaining place for these individuals is Pakistan, and they are closer than ever to the abyss of the dustbin of history.

So it’s no surprise that those who called themselves Pakistan’s number one enemies during the republic have today sought refuge in its embrace and are constantly praising the plastic and incompetent generals of the Pakistani regime, a regime that its own people have no satisfaction or approval of.

This humiliating turn indicates that these fleeing groups have not only failed to learn from the past but are still under the illusion of returning to power thru foreign intervention. They imagine that by currying favor with Pakistani intelligence, they can regain a place in Afghan politics, unaware that the people of this land are no longer fooled by their flashy slogans.

In fact, the betrayal of these individuals is not only against their land and nation, but they have also wronged the history and identity of Afghanistan. While these individuals remained silent in the face of the enemy’s overt aggression, they opened their mouths with venom against the independent and national government of Afghanistan; a dual and cowardly behavior that shows intelligence dependence has taken such root in their very being that they are no longer capable of independent thought.

However, the Afghan nation stands against such traitors with dignity and awareness. People now understand well that the country’s independence and authority are only possible thru unity, self-confidence, and liberation from foreign domination. The history of this land will never forgive traitors, and the future of Afghanistan is not for mercenaries, but for the people who did not sell their honor, faith, and homeland even in the most difficult circumstances.
