Clash Between Police and ISIS in Turkey Leaves Nine Dead

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya told reporters that a clash between ISIS militants and security forces in the Turkish city of Yalova left three police officers and six ISIS militants dead.

Yerlikaya stated that the clash took place during special operations against an ISIS cell.

The interior minister did not disclose the identities of the killed ISIS militants.

It’s worth noting that Turkey has intensified its operations against ISIS after Turkish intelligence recently arrested a senior ISIS commander in Pakistan.
