Local security sources reported that clashes erupted on Wednesday evening in the Warezli area of Tani District in Khost Province along the Disputed Durand Line between Afghan forces and Pakistani militias.
According to the sources, both sides are currently exchanging fire using light and heavy weapons.
The clashes reportedly began after the Pakistani side attempted, without permission, to retrieve the bodies of several of its soldiers who were killed during last week’s confrontation.
