The Ministry of Public Works says that Mullah Mohammad Isa Sani, met today (Wednesday) in Kabul with Iran’s ambassador, Alireza Bikdeli.

According to the ministry, the meeting included wide-ranging discussions on economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Iran, as well as the development of infrastructure projects.

The Iranian ambassador in Kabul stated that the second lot of the Mile 78 Abu Nasr Farahi road, which is 53 kilometers long, will be completed and put into operation within nearly two months.

He added that his country has also allocated a budget for the reconstruction of the first lot of the same road, which is 64 kilometers long.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, the Mile 78 Abu Nasr Farahi road has a total length of 117 kilometers and is an important route for the transport and transit of commercial goods between Afghanistan and Iran.

The ministry said it is striving to complete the project as soon as possible in cooperation with Iran and put it into use.
