The Ministry of Public Works says that the first lot of the fundamental reconstruction of the Khas Uruzgan–Tarin Kot road has officially begun at a cost of more than 601 million Afghanis.

The road starts from Mehr Abad village in Tarin Kot, the provincial capital of Uruzgan, and extends to Khas Uruzgan district, with a total length of 25 kilometers.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Public Works, the project also includes the construction of 11 bridges and 146 culverts, and the work is expected to be completed within 26 working months.
