Da Afghanistan Bank has begun collecting worn banknotes from markets across the country and replacing them with new, clean banknotes, the bank said in a statement.
The bank urged the public to take worn banknotes to its branches or those of commercial banks, where they can be exchanged for new and clean banknotes.
According to Da Afghanistan Bank, the initiative aims to remove worn banknotes from circulation and ensure a cleaner and more suitable currency environment across the country.
