Sky News reported that at least 24 people have been killed and dozens more injured in anti-Pakistani regime protests and violence in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

The protests began over opposition to the allocation of 12 reserved seats in the region’s parliamentary elections and have continued for the past two weeks.

According to local police, four officers were killed in the clashes, while 97 others were injured. Authorities have also arrested more than 500 people.

Officials note the Pakistani military regime is working to contain the unrest, but protests and tensions remain ongoing in the region.
