The Arg Palace said in a statement that Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi visited reception and service centers for returning refugees at Islam Qala and reviewed efforts to address their needs and concerns.
Mawlawi Hanafi visited Islam Qala yesterday accompanied by Minister of Urban Development and Housing Mawlawi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani and several senior officials. He inspected the facilities established to receive and assist returning refugees.
During the visit, Mawlawi Hanafi reviewed the refugees’ situation, the activities of various committees, available resources, service delivery and efforts to resolve their problems. He also called for greater coordination among the authorities involved in the process.
According to the statement, Mawlawi Hanafi stressed that returning refugees should receive timely, organized and appropriate services throughout all stages of their arrival, assistance and transportation, with their needs addressed without delay.
He also called for special attention to vulnerable individuals, families, children and other returning refugees in need, urging officials to further expedite the delivery of services.
