Residents of Mirali district in North Waziristan reported that a Pakistani military drone strike killed an 18-month-old child and wounded a woman.
The attack took place yesterday in Bardokhilo village, Mirali, leaving the child dead and the woman injured.
The Pakistani military has yet to comment on the incident. Local sources noted that Pakistani military aircraft and drones have repeatedly targeted civilians in the area.
Angry residents brought the child’s body to Mirali Chowk in protest, vowing not to bury it until local security authorities guarantee the safety of the civilian population.
