Officials from Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), Afghanistan’s state-run electricity company, have announced the successful implementation of projects valued at $1.5 billion and $600,000 in various regions of the country over the past five months.

In a press conference, DABS Executive Director Abdul Bari Omar revealed that during this period, 206 contracts worth 3.5 billion Afghanis were also signed.

Omar further stated that, with support from the World Bank, the remaining work on the CASA-1000 project will resume and is expected to be completed within two years.
