The Panjshir Directorate of Mines and Petroleum has announced the start of extraction operations for two more precious stones, garnet and tourmaline, in the province.
Mohammad Qasim Amiri, Director of Mines and Petroleum in Panjshir, said garnet extraction has begun in Anaba district, while tourmaline is now being extracted in Hesa-e-Awal district and the provincial capital, Bazarak.
He added that, in addition to emeralds, extraction of three other types of precious stones is currently underway in the province, including beryl, green garnet, and tourmaline.
