Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Sigvald Tomen Hauge, Norway’s newly appointed Chargé d’Affaires to Afghanistan, to discuss strengthening the longstanding ties between the two countries and expanding bilateral cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Mawlawi Muttaqi congratulated Hauge on his new assignment and assured him of the ministry’s full cooperation.
Hauge, in turn, thanked the Afghan government for its hospitality and cooperation. He also commended its reported progress in maintaining security, combating narcotics and promoting economic stability.
