The spokesperson for the Panjshir provincial governor, Saifuddin Latoon, told Voice of Hindukush that General Sadruddin Fakhri, a senior general of the former republic, announced plans to establish a Health Sciences Institute and a fuel pump station in the province during a meeting with Governor Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim.

The former general stated that the prevailing security and favorable conditions for business in Panjshir encouraged him to invest in personal business and trade.

At the same time, Governor Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim assured General Fakhri of full cooperation and noted that Panjshir faces a significant shortage of professional healthcare personnel. The establishment of this institute is expected to partially fill that gap.

Despite having hundreds of high-ranking officials during the previous republic, Panjshir lacked substantial foundational development.

Since the Afghan government came to power, special attention has been given to the province, and key projects in health, education, energy, and other sectors are currently underway.
