Habibullah Hesam, head of the so-called Resistance Front’s Ulema Council, claims that Afghanistan has attacked Pakistan and argues that Pakistan has a legitimate right to defend itself.
He added that although Pakistan had violated Afghanistan’s sovereignty in previous years, Afghanistan is now the one violating Pakistan’s sovereignty.
Hesam makes these remarks while depicting Pakistan’s military regime as a victim and affirming its right to self-defense, despite the regime’s recent attacks in Khost, Paktika, and Kunar, which martyred and wounded dozens of women and children.
Pakistani military regime has repeatedly violated Afghanistan’s sovereignty through air and ground attacks, causing civilian casualties.
Hesam is not the only Resistance Front figure defending Islamabad during the current tensions between the Afghan government and the Pakistani military regime, but also leaders of other fronts, including Resistance Front, have previously taken similar positions in open support of Pakistan.
