The 215 Azm Corps reported that its forces carried out a successful operation to thwart smuggling activities in the Rabat area of Bahramcha district in Helmand province.
According to the corps, 4,382 copper bricks intended for illegal export were discovered and seized during the operation.
In a separate incident, Helmand security forces also recovered and destroyed a quantity of medical supplies that had been illegally imported into the country.
Officials of the 215 Azm Corps stressed that security forces will not allow any form of illegal import or export, adding that firm and sustained measures will continue to be implemented against such activities.
