According to a statement released by the Arg, a high-level meeting chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, was held with the aim of improving the quality of healthcare services and enhancing coordination among relevant institutions.
According to the information provided, the meeting was attended by the Minister of Public Health, representatives from the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Higher Education, and Finance, as well as representatives from the General Directorate of Intelligence.
Sources stated that discussions focused on the challenges facing the country’s healthcare sector, improving the quality of services, and addressing existing obstacles to the management of healthcare affairs, while effective solutions were also discussed.
Participants emphasized the provision of standard medical equipment and facilities in hospitals, creating better facilities for patients, reducing mortality rates in both government and private hospitals, and strengthening child healthcare services.
The meeting also discussed strengthening healthcare centers in remote provinces and districts, establishing coordination for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, and highlighting the importance of disease prevention.
In addition, comprehensive discussions were held regarding capacity-building for healthcare personnel, providing training programs for doctors and healthcare workers, and improving the treatment and behavior toward patients.
At the conclusion of the meeting, various committees were assigned the task of preparing proposals and solutions for improving healthcare services and presenting them at upcoming meetings.
