Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said during his weekly briefing on Tuesday that India strongly condemns Pakistan’s attacks on Afghanistan’s Kunar and Paktika provinces, which resulted in the deaths of several civilians.
The Indian foreign ministry spokesperson expressed deep condolences to the families of civilians killed in the Pakistani airstrikes and wished the injured a speedy and full recovery.
He added that such military aggression against an independent neighboring country runs counter to the principles of peace and security in the region.
He stressed that India reaffirms its consistent support for Afghanistan’s independence, national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the well-being and welfare of the Afghan people.
